Unique, garden-inspired checkerboard stairs just outside the main lobby area

In business since May of 2013, Calima Boutique Hotel is a beautiful historic property that has been revamped and remodeled with a stylish bohemian, yet modern interior, and a great central location in the Miraflores area.  We highly recommend Calima Boutique for your stay in Lima, Peru.

Boasting a beautiful open terrace, a small bar/cafe area, as well as luxury in-room features such as premium bedding, a rainfall showerhead, and smart TV with satellite channels, Calima immediately dazzled us.  This business-friendly boutique provides free WiFi and a plethora of in-room plugs to charge all of your electronics.  For lengthier stays, or business travels, they also have laundry service available for a minimal fee.

Thankfully, the hotel was able to arrange our transportation from the airport to Calima Boutique, which was a huge help for two female travelers arriving late in the evening who speak minimal Spanish. We arrived around midnight and were greeted by a friendly, bi-lingual English and Spanish-speaking staff member working the 24/7 front desk. He kindly introduced himself, answered all of our questions, and showed us to our room.

After an international flight from the United States, we were exhausted from our travels and could not wait for a hot shower and a comfortable bed. The shower was relaxing and refreshing, the designer toiletries were delightful, and the memory foam mattress and Egyptian cotton sheets were heavenly.

After waking from a deep sleep, we went downstairs for a complimentary breakfast which is a highlight you don’t want to miss (served from 7 AM to 10 AM).

We enjoyed fresh coffee and an assortment of self-serve breakfast items while we browsed the menu.

We both decided to order the caprice omelet and it was incredibly tasty. We were so pleased with the healthy cuisine, warm and welcoming atmosphere, and incredible cleanliness.

Miraflores is one of Lima’s more upscale districts, therefore we recommend Calima Boutique for anyone looking for a safe area to explore by foot, day or night, especially female travelers such as ourselves. After breakfast, we had about an hour to spend before heading back to the airport for our next flight to Cusco. We highly suggest checking out Kennedy Park, which is about a 15-minute walk from the hotel. Waikiki Beach, Miraflores central park, and tons of amazing restaurants are also conveniently located within walking distance, as well as El Malecón, a six-mile stretch of parks along the waterfront.

Calima Boutique offers 9 clean and comfortable air-conditioned rooms.
El Malecón, a six-mile stretch of parks along the cliffs above the Pacific Ocean is just a short walk from Calima Boutique.

Thank you Calima Boutique Hotel for making our short stay in Lima a great one!
